Maths courses in Cham for children from age 7

Six groups a week at Riedstrasse 3, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. One group in English, one for lower secondary.

For children from age 7 up to lower secondary

In Cham the maths courses run on Wednesday afternoon and at the weekend: on Wednesdays two groups with Garvin Lehwald, on Saturdays three groups with Nataša Mijatović, from seven to nine year olds in the morning to lower secondary in the early afternoon, and on Sundays one group in English. The weekend is popular in Cham because many families travel from Zug, Baar, Lucerne or Lake Zurich and the children have long school days during the week.

All groups follow the Brainorithmics Math Program developed by Nataša Mijatović: along the Swiss curriculum, but with more understanding of the why behind every method, with mental arithmetic, word problems and logic in every lesson. Groups are small, at most eight children, usually four to six, and arranged by age. Anyone who progresses faster moves up to the next group.

The Sunday morning group is taught by Garvin Lehwald in English, for children aged seven to nine from English speaking families and international schools in the Zug region. The rooms at Riedstrasse 3 are on the 2nd floor with a lift, and parents wait in the room with a kitchen or use the time in Cham. To get to know us, we invite you to a free trial lesson.

For children aged seven to nine who speak English at home or at school, for example from international schools in Zug, Baar or Hünenberg. It takes place on Sundays from 9:30 to 11:15. We open further English groups as soon as enough registrations come together.

We live in Lucerne. Is the Saturday course in Cham realistic?

What does my child learn in the Saturday lower secondary group?

The group from 13:00 to 14:45 is for young people from age 11, that is from grade 7 in our programme. Topics are algebra, equations, geometry, proportions and percentages, plus preparation for the gymnasium entrance exam where relevant.

How does the Wednesday course differ from the Saturday course?

Not at all in terms of content, both follow the same programme. The difference is the teacher and the day: on Wednesday Garvin Lehwald teaches, on Saturday Nataša Mijatović. Choose the day that fits your family routine.
